We supply beautiful quality ‘dried’ or ‘freeze dried’ petal confetti bags ensuring that all your guests can take part and enjoy a well loved traditional part of your Wedding Day. Not all guests remember to bring confetti or may bring paper confetti which isn’t allowed by some venues. By providing beautiful natural confetti, nothing is left to chance.
Throwing confetti over newly weds originated from the ancient pagan rite of showering the happy couple with grain to wish upon them a 'fruitful' union. Pagans believed that the fertility of the seeds would be transferred to the couple on whom they fell. The throwing of rice has the same symbolic meaning.
The word confetti has the same root as the word confectionery in Italian and was used to describe 'sweetmeats' that is, grain and nuts coated in sugar that were thrown over newly weds for the same pagan reason. In recent years, small pieces of coloured paper have replaced sweetmeats, grain and nuts as an inexpensive substitute but the use of the word confetti has remained.
Confetti throwing also offers wonderful photo opportunities during your Wedding Day. Ushers can hand them out with the ‘Order of Service’ or leave them in a basket for guests to collect on the way out of the venue.
Our petals do not shed any colour, cause staining or slipping as they are 100% natural and biodegradable. Some venues will only allow the throwing of natural confetti.
The advantage of buying your confetti in bags rather than going for cones is that you’re unlikely to lose any beforehand if it’s a windy day. They are far easier to display and hand out as the drawstring opening keeps the confetti secure until your photographer is ready!

Contains a mix of pink. lilac, ivory and red, they are biodegradable and light weight so they throw wonderfully. They will last for up to a year if kept at an ambient temperature out of direct sunlight.

Freeze Dried Rose Petals
We also stock the more expensive ’freeze dried’ rose petals. You don’t have to worry about them wilting or keeping them refrigerated like you would with fresh rose petals as freeze drying removes all the moisture from the petals, whilst still retaining their original size and colour.
If these petals are stored at ambient temperature, out of direct sunlight they will last for up to 6 months, so you can buy them well in advance of your Wedding.
Our freeze dried petal mix includes reds, ivory, pinks, burgundy’s and lilac.

confetti bags are made from fine sheer organza in an ivory colour, so you can see the beautiful colours of the petals inside, they have a silky ribbon drawstring opening.
Our confetti bags are specially selected to enable easy access to the petals and measure 4 x 5 inches.
